I'm thrilled that Rebecca Traister featured this article in Salon on uterine fibroids. Almost every black woman I know in her 30s has or has had problems with them (myself included). I had a less invasive surgery than most of my friends called UAE and have been happy with the results.

Though I probably shouldn't be surprised, I can't believe how casually people think they can use lynching as a metaphor. Doesn't Bill O'Reilly realize that Michelle Obama could whup his ass?!
